Attributes of a learning organization is known as the process in which any organization is continuously in the learning process. Learning process may take place in any department at any given time, learning from failures and successes allows for any given organization to continue to grow in a positive manner. The complex adaptive healthcare system we take part in, in todays society is full of innovative approaches from technology to policies and procedural processes, thus creating a learning organization allowing us to adapt to various changes.

My current healthcare organization is a teaching pediatric hospital with world renowned surgical approaches, expertise and continuing evidence-based research, thus organizational learning is a way of our every-day approach. Utilizing the cultural assessment tool utilized earlier in the course, resulting in a transformational leadership profile aligns with the organizational climate and culture. My personal leadership style resonates with the characteristics of a transformational leader; to motivate, influence and create innovative ways in which organizations, teams, and institutions elevate not only their associates, but also the way the workplace environment approaches healthcare. A transformational leader in the executive role ought to interact with stakeholders by approaching situations with respect, honest effective communication, and lastly, with an inspiring personal attitude. Showing respect for what concerns may arise from employees and showing an understanding and attentive listening manner with absence of defensive behavior will allow for staff to be receptive to changes. According to The Leadership & Organization Development Journal, meta-analytic findings demonstrated that transformational leadership facilitates development of interpersonal relationships with positive effects including; increased job satisfaction, staff satisfaction with leadership, increased staff motivation and increased staff job performance to name a few (Mecle, VanIttersum & Wefald, 2016).
